Leveraging market strategy to maximize cash flow and business value has become a life's work for Mr. Jones. Since the 1980s he has helped his consulting clients, leaders in Fortune 500 and mid-market businesses like Boots, Diageo, HP, IBM and others, use the technique to deliver billions of dollars in value growth.
Mr. Jones co-founded Business Value Associates with two partners in 2002, a management consultancy explicitly focused on value-driven market strategies, serving Consumer and Industrial Products clients. Previously, he was a Partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (PwC) Business Strategy consulting business, where he led the practice in Shareholder Value consulting in the US. Before joining PwC, Mr. Jones was with consultants Marakon Associates, and prior to that, he held senior positions with Thorn EMI and Thomson Consumer Electronics in Europe.
Mr. Jones earned his MBA in Strategy from the University of Chicago, and his BSc (hons) in Electronic Engineering from the City University in London. He speaks and writes on shareholder value creation regularly, and his new book The Executive Guide to Boosting Cash Flow & Shareholder Value is published by John Wiley & Sons. Mr. Jones sits on several boards, including the Association of Strategic Planning.
